Ruth Dianne Martin Danforth

Dianne Martin Danforth was born in Jackson, MS on August 24th, 1948, to her loving mother and father, Ray and Hazel Martin. She died unexpectedly April 29th, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Dianne was a graduate of Forest Hill High School. She then went on to accomplish completion of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Mississippi College in 1971 which led to her life-long nursing career that she approached daily with dedication, joy, laughter, kindness, and excitement.

Dianne was a devoted member of Redeemer Church in Jackson, Mississippi where she was active in the choir, taught Bible studies, engaged with young mothers at the church, assisted in helping with floral arrangements, and attended small groups, among many other activities.

Dianne brought meaning to the lives of everyone who knew her, always showing patience, love, joy, and care. She was a talented cook, loved gardening, walking, sewing, and spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandson Richie. She loved attending Felder’s Camp Meeting which, over the years, became a place where she sang in the choir and made many life-long friends. She was also very engaged with her neighbors with whom she developed close relationships and a tight-knit community. Dianne was a beautiful soul who always knew exactly what to do for her loved ones and made each of us feel so special, loved, and wanted.

Dianne was preceded in death by her father Ray Martin, mother Hazel Martin, brother Craig Martin, mother-in-law Lavern Beam, and father-in-law Frank Beam.

She is survived by her husband David Beam Danforth, daughter Natalie Danforth Coupe (Rick), grandson Richie, daughter Rachael Dianne Yearick (Whitney), cousin Vickie Moore, niece Amanda Klein (Jeff), grandnephews Henry and Joseph, sister-in-law Kathy Khayat, brother-in-law Mike Khayat, and many friends. She was dearly loved and treasured by her two daughters, her husband, extended family, and the many friends she has made over the years. Dianne was a loyal and attentive wife, mother, and friend. She was always sharing her time and talents to brighten our lives. Our worlds have been made beautiful and joyous because of Dianne and we will forever cherish the bountiful memories we have shared with her knowing that she lived life to every fullness she possibly could.
