Ruth H. Turner, 85, passed away December 20,2012 surrounded by her loved ones .
On Saturday ,December 22,2012 visitation was held from 9:00 until 11:00 at the funeral home. Funeral services followed at 11:00 at the funeral home chapel with burial in the Hillsboro Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Scott Fortenberr y officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of arrangements.
Ruth was a wonderful wife to a man that loved and adored her. She was a devoted and loving mother to three children, and a special loving Nana to her four grandchildren. She took great pride in her role as wife and mother, and family was everything to her. She will be remembered as the remarkably selfless and giving woman that she was. She was loved and will be missed by many. We are all blessed by her being in our lives.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Merrell A. Turner,Jr. ; parents, Annie and Carlos Cobb; sister, Opal Watkins; and brother, Charles Cobb.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Turner of Forest, Ms; son, Michael Turner of Oxford,Ms;
daughter , Mitzi Goldstein of Gulf Breeze, Fl; sister, Nellie Chaffin of Carthage, Ms; daughter-in-law, Karol Turner of Oxford, Ms; son-in-law, Gerry Goldstein of Gulf Breeze, Fl; grandchildren, Mary-Grace Turner and Michael-Drew Turner of Oxford,Ms, and Maury Goldstein and Joshua Goldstein of Gulf Breeze, Fl ; sister-in-law, Jean Turner of Clinton,Ms; brothers-in-law, Bob Chaffin of Carthage,Ms and Hershel Turner of Clinton,Ms ; and a host of beautiful nieces, nephews ,great-nieces and great-nephews.
