Ruth Ann Thompson, age 92, a resident of Morton passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Ms. Care Center in Morton. Visitation was held 5-9pm Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and 8:30am-10am Monday. Funeral service was held 10am Monday, May 26, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in Eastern Cemetery in Forest. Bro. Paul Smith officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Ann was born in Waltonville, Illinois in 1922. She loved to crochet, work in her garden and travel. Ann loved all her animals but had a special place for her little dog, Susu. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Kirkpatrick and Sarah Moyer Kirkpatrick; husband, Herman Archie Thompson, Sr.; sons, William Lanclos, Ronnie Thompson and Jerry Thompson and daughter, Ann Garner Russell.
She is survived by her children, Pat Lanclos (Elie) of Knoxville, TN, Danny Lanclos of North Carolina, Herman Thompson, Jr. (Virginia) of Morton, Jeff Thompson (Gloria) of Texas, Beverly Thomas (Jim) of Little Rock, AR and Beth Robbins (Rusty) of Brandon; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
