Ruthie Jones Lofton

Ruthie Jones Lofton, age 72 of Braxton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

A Celebration of Ruthie’s life will be Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 11:00am Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with visitation beginning at 9:00am. Burial will follow in Puckett Cemetery.

She was born March 23, 1952, in Jackson, MS to the late Glenn and Ruby Jones.

Ruthie is of the Baptist faith. She loved playing the piano and taking care of children at church. Ruthie was a long-time pianist for Calvary Baptist Church in Braxton. She loved her family and doted on her grandchildren.

Ruthie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Grant K. Lofton of Braxton; daughter Angie Warrell of Braxton; brother Larry (Jean) Jones of Florence; grandchildren Justin Westbrook, Jeremy Westbrook, and Jordyn Warrell; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Linda Harris.
