Mrs. Sadie Mae "Ruby" Kyzar, age 79, and a resident of Lena, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2020 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow in the Eureka Baptist Cemetery in Rankin County under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2020 and from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm Friday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kyzar was a native of Leake County and retired employee of B.C. Rogers Poultry Company. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking. Mrs. Ruby also enjoyed tending to her flowers and gardening, two things which she took pride in doing. She was a Christian by faith and held membership at Eureka Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by two children: Sherry Kyzar and Robin Kyzar; her parents: Sylvester and Annie Lou Gainey Mooney. Three sisters and six brothers also precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Jack C. Kyzar; two sons: Ricky Kyzar and his wife Betty Sessums Kyzar and Jackie D. Kyzar; three grandchildren: Chris Kyzar, Brad Kyzar, and Rhett Kyzar; four great-grandchildren: Rankin, Railey, Reese and Ally Kyzar; one sister: Grace Wrigly and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to acknowledge the staff of Kindred Hospice for the excellent and professional service provided to their loved one in their time of need.
