Mrs. Sandra Bowman, age 62, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Her visitation will be held 11am-1:30pm Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside services will be held 2pm Thursday at Leesburg Church of Christ Cemetery. Bro. Bo Burnham will officiate the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Bowman was born in Scott County on June 19, 1958. She enjoyed just sitting down reading a good book and working crossword puzzles. Sandra loved to just go riding and was always up for a stop at a Mexican Restaurant for a good meal. Her family was her life and spending time with all the grandchildren brought her great joy. She enjoyed doing things for the community and she organized the PYA Association so the children could enjoy having fun things to do. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Murphy Harmon and Betsy Lee Logan Harmon; son, Jerry Holmes, Jr.; brothers, Jr. Harmon, Kenneth Harmon and Ricky Harmon; sister, Rita Strachan.
She is survived by her children, Jessie Holmes of Pelahatchie, Joey Prestage of Lake, Christopher Chisolm of Pelahatchie, Kevin Bowman (Holladay) of Brandon and Kristia Lightle (Dewayne) of Pelahatchie; 5 sisters, Louise Davis (Red) of Morton, Joann Jones of Brandon, Patricia Massey of Pearl, Glenda Harmon of Pearl and Connie Gilmore (Wayne) of Florence; 3 brothers, Johnny Harmon (Joan) of Morton, Ronnie Harmon of Pearl and Randall Harmon of Morton; a host of grandchildren and friends.
Pallbearers will be Scotty Harmon, Roland Cordell, Johnny Paul Porter, Van Bowman, Robert Jones, Austin Bowman, Mark Westberry and Dakota Holmes.
Honorary pallbearer will be Kaleb Evans.
Due to the Covid, only 10 people will be allowed in the building at one time. Mask are required. Thank you for understanding.
