Morton, MS

Mrs. Sandra Baker, age 79, a resident of Morton passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.  Visitation will be held 5pm-8pm Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Chapel service will be held 10am Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with graveside at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery.  Bro. Matt Armstrong and Bro. Joey Smith will officate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Baker was born in Scott County on October 7, 1944.  She loved the Lord and was a active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Sandra taught Sunday School and was a member of Sisters in Service.  She enjoyed working outside in her yard, enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband.  Family was so important to her, the grandchildren and great grandchildren were the apple of her eye.  Sandra will be greatly missed by her beautiful smile and her servant heart.  

She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Robert Griffin; parents, Fred Carroll and Audrey Golden Harrell; sibling, Jimmie Carroll.

She is survived by her loving husband, Albert Baker of Morton; children, Melanie (Greg) Bennett of Lake and Melissa Frazier of Forkville; siblings, Annelle Boyd of Chenny Washington and Larry (Jean) Carroll of Morton; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Bennett (Erica), Joshua Bennett (Shelby) and Liam Frazier; 5 great grandchildren, Brooklynn Alexander, Ryland Bennett, Emma Leigh Bennett Olivia Bennett and Hailey Bennett; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Scott County Gideons.
