Sandra Williamson Goodin

Sandra Williamson Goodin, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the age of 78.

Mrs. Goodin was born June 14, 1946, to Fred and Allie V. (Nowell) Williamson. She grew up in Nanih Waiya, Mississippi, and graduated from Nanih Waiya High School. She married Richard Earl Goodin on December 31, 1964, and together they had three daughters and moved to the Brandon area. She worked for the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District in the Human Resources department until her retirement in 2011.

Her hobbies included traveling (especially cruises, beach trips, and mountain trips), fishing, cooking, and reading. She loved taking care of others and she adored her grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was attend their sporting events like football, softball, and soccer games and band concerts and competitions.

Mrs. Goodin is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Williamson and Allie V. Nowell Williamson; brother, Leslie Earl Williamson (Zenith); sister, Betty Ruth Williamson; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Williamson; nephew, Scotty Williamson; and niece, Tammy Boykin.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Earl Goodin; daughters, Heather Goodin Haley (Brian), Heidi Goodin Sills (Kevin), and Holli Goodin Lane (Brad); six grandchildren, Easton Haley, Riley Sills, Cade Sills, Kristen Lane Benton, Addison Lane, and Neely Lane; three great grandchildren, Rivers, Remi Kate, and Berkelee Benton; brother, Martin D. Williamson; three nieces; six nephews; and multiple great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm and again on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 9:00 until 10:00 am with a funeral service beginning in the chapel at 10:00 am. The graveside service will be at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Nanih Waiya on Saturday at 2:30 pm.
