Mrs. Sandra F. Smith, age 66, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her residence. Visitation was held 5-8pm Friday, March 04, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services was held 11am Saturday, March 5, 2016 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Springhill Cemetery. Bro. Bill Prestage and Bro. Joseph Oster officated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Sandra enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She loved animals and her favorite was a cat named, Fred. Her smile would light up a room and was very tenderhearted and never met a stranger. Sandra loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orby J. Renfroe and Rachel G. Thompson Renfroe; brother-in-law, Eugene Simms; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Oscar Smith and Gladys Clara Buchannon.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Smith of Pelahatchie; son, Kevin Smith of Pelahatchie; sisters, Ruth Simms of Leesburg and Connie and husband, Earl of Pelahatchie; sister-in-law, Bessie Bowman of Pelahatchie; brother-in-law, Weldon Smith and family of Pelahatchie; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Nathan Smith, Trevor Jordan, Brent Bowman, Eddie Yates, Bill Hill and Dennis Ellingburg. Honorary pallbearers were Eugene Ivy and Weldon Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barefoot Springs Baptist Church.
