Mrs. Sandra Shoemaker, age 72, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Dominic Hospital.  Visitation was held 5-8pm Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Funeral services were held 2pm Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Leesburg Church of Christ Cemetery.  Bro. Jack Stewart  officiated the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Shoemaker was born in Scott County on October 26, 1947.  She loved to go shopping and enjoyed spending a day wetting a hook fishing.  Sandra babysat for many years and loved all the many children she kept.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joel Thomas Donald and Jenny Ruth Latham Donald; brother, Joe Earl Donald; half brother, Tommy Johnston.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Ray Shoemaker of Pelahatchie; children, Renea Walker and husband, Michael of Morton and John Mark Shoemaker of Pelahatchie; grandchildren, Brad Thomas Boykin and wife, Hayley,  JC Walker and wife, Phoebe; great grandchildren, Rylan, Ripley, Buckley, Hayze, Destiny, Ashton (Shyanne) and Santana; great-great grandchild, Tyler Parker Sims and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Brian Blake, Richie Franklin, Morgan Franklin, Jerry Bowman, Willie Shoemaker, Larry Prestage and Hardy Tucker.
