Sara Louise Brooks, 90, formerly of Ethel, daughter of the late Henry Grady and Vera Irving Brooks of Ethel, MS died on October 4, 2015. Visitation will be 10 am – 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Interment to follow at Stonewall Cemetery in Ethel, MS.
A devoted member of the administrative staff of Millsaps College, she retired in 1991 as Director of Records after 36 years of service.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Irving Brooks of Clearwater, FL and a sister, Mary Brooks Crosby of Kosciusko, MS. She is survived by one sister, Jennie Brooks Jones of Brandon, MS; sister-in-law, Anne M. Brooks of Clearwater, FL; special niece, Ellen Ramos; and a host of friends young and old, “Aunt Sara” was a very special person.
