Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Betty McAlpin will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from the Harperville Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby McKay officiating. Interment will follow in the Harperville Memorial Park under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
There will be no visitation.
Sara Betty McAlpin was born April 22, 1920 at Harperville, passed away October 18, 2016 at the Lackey Convalescent Home of Forest at the age of 96.
She is preceded in death by her parents Hugh Holified and Zola Cochran Haralson; brothers, Hugh Holifield Haralson and Wilbur Willis(Bill) Haralson; sisters, Bess Baggett and Zola Tyree. She is survived by a sister Pamp Brantley.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Gayden McAlpin.
She is survived by a son, Ernest McAlpin and wife Barbara of Laurel, and a daughter, Betty Dahl and husband Tom of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.; by 8 grandchildren , Gayden McAlpin and wife Stephanie of Madison, Garrett McAlpin and wife Brandi of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Tommy Dahl and wife Hannah of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Krista Dahl Koehler and husband Matt of Jackson Whole Wyoming, Greg Dahl and wife Laura of Peachtree City, Georgia, Beth Dahl Adams and husband Jay of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, David Dahl and wife Heidi of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Kathryn Dahl Lichfield and husband Rob of Spokane, Washington.; and by 23 great grandchildren, Lexie McAlpin, Cash and Bree McAlpin, Quinn and Miles Koehler, Ty, Alex, Luke,Brooks,Lucilyn, Menho, LeAng, and Clementine Dahl , Julia, Mack and Elise Dahl, Kaitlyn, Natalie, and Jake Adams, and Grant, Abby, Anna, and Jane Lichfield.
