Sara Elizabeth Robertson, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Sara has been a long time resident of Pearl, MS. She was born in Pontotoc County, MS and moved to Rankin County as a young child. Funeral services were held at 3 pm Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment following in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation was held 12-2:45 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Rev. Bryan Wilson officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Robertson was a long time member of Southside Assembly of God Church in Jackson, MS and “The Way” Sunday School Class where she faithfully attended and loved its members. She was also active in the “55 Alive Senior Citizens Group” and enjoyed all the activities. Her favorite hobbies were Arts and Crafts, sewing and board games.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas Miller Arnold and Lena Russell Arnold brothers, L.Q. Arnold and George Arnold and her sister, Vivian Arnold Taylor.
Mrs. Robertson leaves behind her husband, James R. Robertson of Pearl, MS; her daughters, Linda R. (Ralph) Burroughs of Flowood, MS, Ann R. (Darvil) Bilbro of Pearl, MS and Debbie R. (Mark) Haskins of Brandon, MS; The apples of her eyes were her four grandsons, Ralph (Andree) Burroughs, III of Gulfport, MS, Greg (Angela) Bilbro of Brandon, MS, Paul (Jenny) Burroughs of Ridgeland, MS and Justin Haskins of Brandon, MS; Her little loves were her two great grandsons, Lane Burroughs of Gulfport and Austin Bilbro of Brandon; her great granddaughter, Karoline Burroughs of Gulfport; and a host of friends.
Serving and honoring Mrs. Robertson as pallbearers were Greg Bilbro, Paul Burroughs, Ralph Burroughs, III, Justin Haskins, Johnny Hudson, Rick Lacey, Lane Burroughs, Karoline Burroughs and Austin Bilbro.
