Mrs. Sarah Ann Keen, age 89, a resident of Azle, TX but formerly of Polkville, MS passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Azle Manor Nursing Home. Visitation will be held 5-8pm Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Oak Grove Church of God. Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Sarah was born June 14, 1922 in Polkville, MS to the late parents, John and Lizziee Thorn Adcox. She was a former resident of Fort Worth for 35 years. Sarah moved back home to Mississippi in 1974 where she remained until the death of her husband. In 1994 Sarah moved back to the Fort Worth area to live with her daughter. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lennis in November of 1993; infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth; son, Robert L. Keen; sisters, Sis Fletcher and Elsie Adcox and brother, Alfe Adcox.
She is survived by her daughter, Doris Seely and husband, Donn; sons, Truman Keen and Jerry Keen and wife, Debbie; sister, Nell Phillips; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 18 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, North Central Texas, 101 Summit Ave., Suite 300, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.
