SARAH JEAN STEWART, age 73, a resident of Pearl, formerly of Lorena, died Sunday December 8, 2013 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with interment in Lorena Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5pm-9pm Tuesday December 9, 2013 and again Tuesday December 10, 2013 from 10am till service time at the church. Rev. James Maddox will officiate.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Madison County on January 11, 1940 to her parents James B. Cobb and Sarah E. Smith Cobb. She had lived in the Lorena community since 1980. She was member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Henry Lee Stewart.
Survivors include 4 children; Peggy Roberts (Bob) of Morton, Betty Sue Harris (Scotty) of Forest, Billy Lee Stewart also of Forest and Vickie S. Cook of Quitman; a brother, Frank Cobb (Paulette) of Canton and sister Lucille Jones of Pearl. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Scotty Harris, Jason Harris, Bob Roberts, Mark Coats, Bubba Hawkins and Steve Cobb. Honorary Pallbearers are Austin Upton, Colby Upton, Clayton Upton and Billy Stewart.
