Scottie Eugene Cumberland was born in Jackson, Mississippi on January 29, 1966 to the late Ann Parker Townsend and Bobby Cumberland. He passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 surrounded by his family.
He owned a medical equipment company, Custom Rehab Solutions, and was currently working in medical sales for National Seating and Mobility. Scott was an avid fan of the Mississippi State Bulldogs! His hobbies included boating, skiing and going to his hunting camp. He was a devoted husband, loving father and faithful friend. He loved to work and his primary goal in life was to care and provide for his family.
He was a member of Brandon First United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. His mother, Ann Parker Townsend, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kim Carter Cumberland; children Sydney Elyse Cumberland and Carter Scott Cumberland, father Bobby Cumberland, siblings: Annette Rigby, Misty Gordon, Jan Boykin, Lynn Melear, Candy Thomas, Ginger Hill, Penny Cumberland, Jeff Swilley and Ken Townsend, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Scott's name to the Children's Rehab Division of Blair Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson, MS.
After battling a very aggressive cancer for several months, Scott was given a new body free of pain and suffering to live eternally with our savior, Jesus Christ.
