Marcus Scott Nations, 50, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation was Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2 until 5 pm and Monday, July 6, 2015 from 1 pm until the 2 pm Service at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial followed at Lakewood Memorial Park South in Jackson, MS. Rev. William Wright Officiated.
Marcus Scott Nations was born on October 6, 1964 in Pensacola, Florida to the late Robert Lee Nations and Mary Monette White Nations. He was a graduate of Wingfield High School in Jackson, MS; Sanford University; and Mississippi College. He has been in the Medical field of Nursing for 26 years. He felt God had given him a gift to take care of and minister to sick and hurting people, which lead to his decision to enter the nursing field. He had a deep compassion for the elderly and children. He took care of his mother in their home for eleven years.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Monette Nations of Brandon, MS; his three siblings, Virginia Clark (Charles) of Griffin, GA, Bob Nations, Jr. (Julie) of Memphis, TN, and Sue Nations of Brandon, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
