Sharon Williams

Sharon T. Williams, age 71, died Friday, October 15, 2021, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a long-time resident of Brandon, Mississippi.

Sharon Elizabeth Thompson was born October 2, 1950, in McComb, Mississippi to JC Thompson and Mary Irene (Dunn) Thompson. She attended McComb High School and graduated from West Point High School in West Point, Mississippi in 1968. She married her one and only love, Paul Nathan Williams, on September 5, 1970 and had 2 daughters, Shelly Colleen and Megan Marie. In 1969, Sharon went to work for Allstate Insurance and worked there for 31 years before leaving in October 2000 to enjoy being a Nana for the first time. She also worked for Sports and Fitness Insurance as an underwriter from September 2005 until she finally retired in September 2015. Her greatest accomplishments though, were her family and grand-children. “It is the only thing I ever truly desired out of life,” she once said. She had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and it showed through her tireless dedication to her family.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, JC and Irene (Dunn) Thompson and her only sibling, a sister, Brenda Kaye Brock.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Paul Williams; her daughter, Shelly (Jerry) Clore; her daughter, Megan Williams; 3 grand-children, Thomas (Lily) Bonney, Christopher Bonney and Sadie Clore; and a nephew, Patrick Brock.

Visitation will start on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 10am, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home located at 1360 W Government St., Brandon, Mississippi, followed by a graveside service at 11am located in Crestview Memorial Gardens at 1106 Star Rd., Brandon, Mississippi.  Rev. Christopher Kiepe will officiate.
