Shelby Jean Davis Wheeler, age 79, born August 18, 1936 and went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 27, 2016.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Phennie Davis of Forest Mississippi.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clarence (Buddy) G. Wheeler of Jacksonville FL and her five children, Delores Wheeler Russell of Jacksonville FL, Delila Wheeler of Candler NC, David Wheeler and his spouse Diane Wheeler of Houston Texas, Patricia Letendre and her spouse David Letendre of Asheville, NC, Wanda Schultz and her spouse Rev. Steve Schultz of Candler, NC. Besides being a mom to five children she was the grandmother to 8 and their spouses, Jennifer Youngblood and her spouse Larry Youngblood, Shaun Wheeler and his spouse Katelyn, Rebecca Hewiett and her spouse Joshua Hewiett, Catherine Browning and her spouse Adam, Miranda McKenna and her spouse Matt, Jordan Stephens and his spouse Stephanie, Justin Schultz and his spouse Whitney, Jason Schultz and his spouse Morgan. With 8 grandchildren now have come 13 great grandchildren, Nolan, Marshall, Roman, Gabriel, Gisela, Lexi, Elizibeth, Izibella, Kaleb, Camden, Shelby, Cullen (not born yet), and Allyson. She loved her family and the children always made her smile.
She made the best banana pudding in town, just ask any of her children or grandchildren. She loved and served the Lord faithfully. She also loved gospel music and hearing the choir at North Jacksonville Baptist, her home church.
