Shelton “Jock” Posey Allen, II died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at St. Dominic’s Hospital surrounded by his family.
Jock was born February 5, 1948 in Jackson, Mississippi to Shelton and Roma Dale Allen. He grew up in Magee and moved to Brandon when he married Deborah Ponder Allen on July 30, 1971. He was a long time member of Brandon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Debbie; his children, Chris Allen, Brooke Chandler (Chan), and Robby Allen (Ashley); his sister, Sylvia Albertson (Frank) and his brother, Dale Allen; and his grandchildren, Anna Leigh Allen, Emmie Chandler, Addy Katherine Allen, Carson Chandler, Mills Allen, Lily Chandler, Wyatt Allen, and Haynes Allen; and a large extended family.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 from 10 am until 12 Noon at Brandon Baptist Church with services to follow at 12 Noon at the Church. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Garden in Brandon, MS.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
