Doris Sherlene Bonner, 79, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away October 5, 2016 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab in Brandon, MS. Visitation is 9am Friday, October 7, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Boyce Thompson Road Campus with the service at 10am. Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Sherlene was a longtime resident of Brandon and a member of Crossgates Baptist Church. She was from Weir, MS and a graduate of Weir High School. After graduation she moved to Jackson and worked for General Electric. She was also employed by Pearl School District, Ming & Associates, and retired from Sunshine Learning Center.
Sherlene was preceded in death by her husband Willis C. Bonner and parents, Ethel P. and Minnie B. Dawkins Ming.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Medders (Harry) of Brandon; granddaughter, Brandy Medders of Brandon; brother, Plemon Ming of Brandon and sister, Clovis Oakes of West, MS.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made North American Missions Board or Gideon’s International.
