Shirley Ann Davis, 65, a resident of Morton died Monday, February 06, 2012 at Bethany House in Carthage. Visitation was held 5-9 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2012 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral service will be held 3 pm Wednesday at the funeral home with burial in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Rev. Robert Gatewood will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Davis was a native of Scott Co. she was the daughter of Onie Sims Cummins and Bulah Waggoner Parker and was married to Robert Lee Davis. She loved to sew, put puzzles together, going to auctions and plant Violets in her flower beds. She loved her family and grandchildren and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Onie Cummins and Beluah Waggoner Parker, her husband, Robert Lee “Red” Davis, brother, Tommy Parker and her sisters, Jessie and Caroline Cummins.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Thornton of Morton; sons, Tommy Davis of Pulaski, Earnie D. (Penny) Davis of Morton, Johnny Davis of Pulaski and Robert J. Davis of Morton; honorary sister, Linda Beeland; 8 grandchildren, Brady Bridges, Braxton Bridges, Trinity Thornton, Heather Thornton, Tammy Leeann Davis, David Tatum, Melissa Tatum and Kim Tatum; 2 great grandchildren, Izabella Turner and Aiden Lane Tatum.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Brady Bridges, Tony Beeland, Tommy Stegall, Chris Barnhart, Brad Barnhart, Wilburn Waggoner and Billy Gibbs. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, David Tatum, Roy Upton, Ira Donald, Bobby McDaniel, Billy McDaniel Bobby Brown, James Floyd McBride and Joe McBride.
