Shirley Faye George

Shirley Faye George, age, 69, Formerly of Kosciusko MS, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 at her home in Wesson, MS. She enjoyed eating out at Olive Garden and Cracker Barrel; other hobbies were watching TV especially Bones, cooking shows and Hallmark. She was an introvert that loved the color purple and was an avid reader.

Shirley's family was her pride and joy. She loved talking to them on the phone to catch up on current events and to know how they were doing. Shirley was the second oldest daughter of six children, born to Bill and Elizabeth Newsome on May 4, 1954 in Kosciusko, MS.

Preceded in death by, Parents, Bill and Elizabeth Newsome; sister, Dorothy Lee Newsome; grandparents, Soloman and Irene Smith, William and Fannie Newsome. Survived by seven children, Veronica "Ronnie" Edwards, Pat George (Angie), Donna George, Larry Clingan, Chris George (Adrianne) Bobby Ray Clingan  and Steven George; siblings, Mary Allice Sistrunk, William Bobby Newsome, Jimmy Lee Newsome and Irene Coley, (Tim); also was survived by a host of grandkids, nieces and nephews.

Services will be Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Visitation will be 12:00pm to 1:50pm with the Funeral Service following at 2:00pm at the Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Reddin officiating. Serving as pallbearers; Larry Clingan, Pat George, Samuel Atkinson, Eric Gatewood, Chris George and Cody George.  Burial will be in Morton Memorial Gardens.
