Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be 12 noon until 2pm Tuesday.

Shirley Ann Podvin Mudd Norton, 72, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Brandon Nursing and Rehab in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 12 Noon until 2 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm from the Chapel of Ott & Lee.
Shirley was born on January 20, 1944 in Potsdam, New York to the late Francis Edwin and Marion Elizabeth Regan Podvin. She had been a resident of Brandon, MS for four years. She was a former resident of Wiggins, MS. She owned and operated Shirley’s Day Care in Gulfport for over 20 years. She was a loving, caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was of the Catholic faith.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Sharon Margaret Podvin and Kay Francis Podvin Gingras.
Survivors include her children, Gary Mudd (Beth), Steve Mudd (Kim), Tammy Mudd Searcy (Michael), Becky Norton (Dave), John Stewart Norton, Diana Norton Verzwyvelt (Danny); and two brothers, Robert Fredrick Podvin and Thomas Edward Podvin; and eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
