Mr. Sidney Ray Tatum, age 65, a resident of Jackson passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at his residence. His visitation was held 6-8pm Monday, February 27, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 11am Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Morton with burial at Evans Tabernacle Church of God Cemetery. Bro. Billy Ray Parker officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Tatum was born in Neshoba County on August 10, 1951. He loved working on cars, going to deer camp and hunting. Sidney loved decorating for holidays, especially Christmas. His kids said he was a fun dad and his also loved his dogs, Razor Blade and Binky. Sidney will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Ramsey Tatum and Berta Faye Joiner Tatum; son, Sidney Dewayne Tatum; sisters, Earline Donald and Dean Sistrunk; brothers, Dwight and Larry Tatum.

He is survived by his 4 children, Lisa Tatum Perkins of Leesburg, Mary Kate Tatum of Morton, Tommy Ray Tatum of Jackson and Billy Joe “BJ” Tatum of Jackson; sister, Debbie Buffington (Guy) of Carthage; 8 grandchildren, Wyatt Perkins, Maria Perkins, Lilly Perkins, Aiden Prestage, Autumn Tatum, Seth Tatum, Sadie Tatum and Sophie Tatum; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Chris Tatum, Joey Joiner, Wade Walton, Kelly Tatum, Scottie Donald and Ned Sistrunk.
