Mr. Simon Robinson, a resident of Lena, MS, age 82 passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. His visitation was held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral Services were held Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with burial immediately following the service at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Paul Smith and Bro. Matt Armstrong officiated the service. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Simon was born in Scott County in 1933 and was a lifelong resident of Scott County. He enjoyed bird hunting very much along with deer hunting, turkey hunting and he enjoyed taking care of his cattle. Simon was also a very good domino player. He will be missed by those who knew and love him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Samuel Robinson and Katherine “Gordon” Robinson; sisters, Viola Means, Mae Moore, Dorothy Nutt, Ruth Frazier; brothers, Noah Robinson, Sammy Robinson.
Simon is survied by his sister-in-law, Gillye Robinson; nephew, Willie Ray Robinson (Lora Rae) of Georgia; niece, Amanda White (Michael) of Pearl; a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers were Willie Ray Robinson, Michael White, Aaron Champion, Dennis Robinson, Mike Tisdale, Will Chambers, and Randy Chambers.
