Eloise Adcock, lovingly known to many as Sister Adcock was a faithful and devoted wife to Bro. Adcock for 72 ½ years. She served by his side as an excellent pastor’s wife of almost 60 years. To her children she was a loving mother who cared for them and trained them up as God directed. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Granny and she was a friend and helping hand to all she was blessed to encounter. The legacy she leaves behind will be one of virtue and honor.
Proverbs 31 describes a virtuous woman that says, “The heart of her husband trust in her and that she will rise and her children will call her Blessed.” Sister Adcock truly lived out Proverbs 31 and has now set such a wonderful example for so many to follow.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Lloyd Adcock of Brandon; sons, Jim Adcock of Dallas and Paul Adcock (Penny) of Brandon; daughter, Shelia Lovern (Orborn) of Philadelphia; sister, Mary Lee Lowery of Philadelphia; brothers, Jasper Commer and J. W. Commer both of Philadelphia and Burlon Commer of Louisville; grandchildren, Justin Adcock (Kayla), Josh Adcock (Liza), Logan Adcock (Nicole), Melody Russell (Bryan) and Summer Smart (Chance); great-grandchildren, Savanna Adcock, Breigh Adcock, Brooklyn Jade Adcock, Harley Grace Haggard, Payden Cash Smart, Ransom Nash Smart and Austin Waldrop.
