STANLEY "PETEY" WARNER
MORTON
Petey Warner, age 36, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Copiah County. Visitation was held 4-8pm Sunday, October 31st at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral Services were held 2pm Monday, November 1, 2010 at Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the Springfield Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Marty Wilson officiated the services. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Warner is a native of Coldwater, Mississippi and has lived in the Morton area since 1995. His friends knew him by his nickname, Petey. He loved to volunteer as a fireman with the Polkville Volunteer Fire Department. Helping his dad around the house was one of his favorite things to do. His real love was to put his cowboy hat and boots on and saddle up and ride horses. Petey will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mary Ivy, Sam Warner and Paula Nicholson; sister, Melanie Warner and brother, Bryan Warner.
He is survived by his father, Stanley Warner Sr. (Joye) of Morton; mother, Pat Hawkins (Donald) of Senatobia; brother, Tim Warner of Coldwater MS; 3 step sisters, Donna Trammell, Leigh Hawkins and Christy Grillette; niece, Rebecca Warner; nephew, Timmy Warner; great nephew, Johnny Lee Warner and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Mark Warner, Billy Allen, Steven Allen, Jeff Easterling, Nathaniel Stewart and Earnest McCarty.
