Stanley K. Warner, Sr., 68, a resident of Morton died Sunday, August 19, 2012 after a brief illness at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 am Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Marty Wilson, Rev. Tal Vardaman and Rev. Scott Mercer officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements the services.
Mr. Warner was a native of Memphis , TN. He was the son of Samuel Eli Warner and Mary Pauline Nicholson. He was married to Joye C. Warner. He worked in the construction industry over 35 years for Waterproofing Systems. Mr. Warner enjoyed being outdoors and just enjoying the farm life with his tractor. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Warner was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Eli Warner and Mary Pauline Nicholson, children, Melanie Warner, Brian Keith Warner and Stanley K. “Petey” Warner, Jr.
Mr. Warner is survived by his wife, Joye Cooper Warner; son, Robert Timothy Warner; sister, Monette (Lonnie) Richards; brothers, William Eugene (Chellie) Warner and Aaron Dwight (Bonnie) Warner; grandchildren, Timmie Warner and Rebecca Warner; great grandchild, Johnny Lee Warner; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
