Stephan “Steve” Edwards Holladay, 66, of Brandon, MS passed away in his home on September 18, 2017 of natural causes.
Steve was born in Jackson, MS on January 13, 1951. He later moved to Tupelo, MS and graduated from Tupelo High School in 1969. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. While he sometimes seemed to have a hard exterior, he was a rock that his loved ones could always depend on, and he was an amazing source of strength during times of crisis. Steve was sharp as a tack, wise beyond his years, honest as the day was long, and underneath it all, was one of the kindest people anyone could ever wish to know. Steve was a man of great integrity with a unique personality and a huge heart.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bess Holladay. He is survived by his son, Chase Holladay of Brandon, MS; daughters, Amber Wilburn (Paul) of Kansas City, KS and Allison Adam (Jon) of Frederick, MD; his beloved grand babies, Sloane and Kieran Adam; his brother, Chuck Holladay of Newton, MS; and by many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive friends at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 11am until 12 Noon. Interment will follow at 2 pm at the Newton Masonic Cemetery in Newton, MS. Steve’s family asks that any who attend the service bring flowers to send Steve home.
