Stephanie Diane Daniels passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 4, 1947, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she was the cherished daughter of Charles and Nelwyn Donnell. Tragically, after losing her mother to cancer at the tender age of nine, Stephanie was lovingly raised by her maternal grandmother, Cora Dean Jarmon, in Marion, Louisiana and was always doted on by her aunts, Elaine Jarmon and Lee Jarmon Lankford along with her paternal grandparents, James and Ruth Donnell.
Stephanie graduated from Marion High School, where she was honored as "Miss FBLA." She went on to pursue higher education at Louisiana Tech University, where she obtained her bachelor's degree. During her high school years, she met Noel Daniels, the love of her life. They were married on August 24, 1968, embarking on a beautiful journey that lasted 56 years. Their marriage was filled with joy, love, and adventure, as they traveled the world together, creating cherished memories with friends and family.
While residing in Louisiana, Stephanie and Noel were blessed with two lovely daughters, Amy and Allison, whom they raised with great devotion. Stephanie was also a dedicated grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. Her legacy is one of love, strength, and dedication to her family and community.
During their time in Monroe, Louisiana, Stephanie was invited to join the Junior League to contribute to the community, and she continued her involvement with the Junior League of Jackson after moving with her family to Brandon, Mississippi. Stephanie became an active member of the community. She served as president of her garden club, president of the Rankin Health Foundation, and was a past member of the board of directors of Rankin Medical Center. One of her greatest joys was teaching her Sunday school class, a role she faithfully fulfilled for over 20 years.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nelwyn Donnell, and aunts, Elaine Jarmon and Lee Lankford (KD). She is survived by her devoted husband, Noel Daniels; her daughters, Amy Courtney (Michael) and Allison Ott (Karl); and her beloved grandchildren, Daniel Clayton Courtney, Caroline Michael Courtney, Emery Elaine Ott, and Elizabeth Clay Ott. She is also survived by her two brothers, Mark Donnell (Brenda) and Brooks Donnell.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her loving caregivers, Liz James, Eloise Nelson, Minnie McMullan, Loretta Jelks, and Nancy Sanderson, for their care and support.
Services will be held at Brandon Baptist Church on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm. Stephanie will be laid to rest in Crestview Memorial Gardens.
Stephanie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, service, and unwavering faith.
