Stephen Cook

Stephen Shaw “Superman” Cook, age 79, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Merit Health Crossgates Hospital in Brandon. Visitation is 2-3:45 pm Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services will be 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home with burial in Brandon Memorial Gardens. Rev. Brandon Cook will officiate.
Mr. Cook was a lifelong resident of Rankin County and was a member of Journey Church in Brandon. He retired in Management at Marquette Cement Plant in Brandon in 2003 and was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Cook of Brandon; sons, Michael Cook (Pamela) of Bossier City, LA, Mark Cook (Rena) of Pearl and Matt Cook (Stephanie) of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Meggan Gatlin, Brandon Cook, Heather Dominighini, Landon Cook, Haley Cook, Nicole Cook, Mary Burleigh and Anna Cook. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Ricky Harrell, David Decareaux, Mark Cook, Mike Cook, Matt Cook and Brandon Cook. Honorary pallbearer will be Sonny Tolbert.
