Stephen Ravesies

Stephen Dubose Ravesies, 73, passed away Thurs. Oct. 22, 2015 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Sun. Oct. 25, 2015 from 3pm-6pm and on Mon. Oct. 26, 2015 from 1pm-1:45pm at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Mon. Oct. 26, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mr. Ravesies was born in Hattiesburg, MS and has been a resident of Brandon, MS since 1991. He graduated from Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, FL and is also a graduate of USM in Hattiesburg, MS. Mr. Ravesies was lead singer and guitarist in the Memory Lane Band and was also a former president of the MS Street Rod Association for 5 years.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette Ravesies of Brandon, MS; two children, Chante Ravesies and Kenneth Ravesies both of Hattiesburg, MS; step son, Jared Skinner of Pearl, MS; step sister, Merlynne Chandler of FL; two grandchildren, Sydney Ravesies and Christal Ravesies both of Hattiesburg, MS; two step grandchildren, Holly Manuel of FL and Hope Roberts of Ludlow, MS and three great grandchildren. Mr. Ravesies is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Ravesies and Barbara Bufkin and his step father, Ellis Bufkin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
