Mr. Steve Nobles, age 61, a resident of Morton, passed away on Sunday morning, July 7, 2013 at his home in Morton. Visitation was held 5-8pm Monday, July 08, 2013 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral service was held 1pm Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Springfield Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Holmes officiated the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Steve was born in Scott County on June 26, 1952. He started work in the wholesale car business as a teenager. He loved going to car auctions all around Mississippi and Louisiana. He loved his family at home and his family in the car business. Steve was a generous person with an engaging personality. He always had a smile on his face and loved helping others. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Katie Maude Cooper Nobles; brothers, Terry Nobles and Charles Nobles.
He is survived by his nephew, Avery Nobles of Morton; uncle, William Nobles; aunts, Paulene Scott, Genel Beard and Ola Ruth Slate; sister-in-law, Charlotte Nobles of Morton; great nephews, James and Gregory Sprayberry; numerous cousins and a host of friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sharon “Shampoo” Lewis for her love, care and friendship to Steve and his family throughout the years.
