Steven Foreman

Steven Buchanan Foreman, fondly known to many as "Buck," passed away on Tuesday, December 4th at his home.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 11:00 am at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi with Reverend Gayden Harrell officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 am.

Buck was born to Jimmie Foreman Burnette and the late Bob Maynard Foreman, Sr on July 31, 1953, in Jackson, Mississippi. He graduated from Brandon Academy in 1972. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad, Pursue Oil Refinery and Marquette Cement Company throughout his adult life.

After being victim to a traumatic motor vehicle accident in his thirties, he demonstrated true grit and resilience throughout his rehabilitation efforts. After his recovery, he found joy and peace in the outdoors. He particularly enjoyed hunting, sunbathing, and spending time on his tractor. It was not uncommon to see his bright orange tractor ploughing through the field on any given day, rain, or shine.

More than his hobbies, he found joy with his family and morning coffee crew. He found peace in his Sunday mornings at church where a firm handshake and wide grin were always met with a piece of bubblegum or a peppermint. His Sunday best was a combination of his signature suspenders, a dress coat, and his cowboy boots.

Buck is survived by his mother, Jimmie Foreman Burnette; brother, Robert Maynard Foreman (Annette); sister, Dusty Foreman Hinton (Dees), three nieces; Kristin Hinton Cox (Joseph), Hannah Foreman Ivison (Will), Harlee Hinton; and three great nephews, Hinton and Elliot Cox and Teddy Ivison. He is also survived by his Aunts, Bobbie Eric Collum and Martha Collum Prince. His Aunt, Mary Collum Sanderson,  preceded him in his death.
