Sue Cantwell Ainsworth, 82, passed away at Brandon Nursing and Rehab Center on Thursday, May 07, 2015. Services are 11am Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with visitation starting at 9am. Interment will follow in Brandon Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ainsworth was born in Tylertown, MS on August 24, 1932 to Alvin and Dixie Owens Cantwell. She was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon and was very involved in church activities. Mrs. Ainsworth taught school at Pelahatchie Attendance Center and Brandon Academy for nearly 20 years and later retired from the State of Mississippi Welfare Department.
She loved to work in her yard and garden. She also enjoyed reading and traveling with friends and family. Mrs. Ainsworth was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Ainsworth and son, William David Ainsworth.
Survivors include her children, Larry E. Ainsworth, Paula A. (Steve) Spragg and Kay A. Delozier; grandchildren, Billy Ainsworth, Caitlyn Ainsworth and Hunter Spragg; sisters, Ouida Bullock and Betty Jean Cantwell.
Memorials may be made to Meadow Grove Baptist Church, Building Fund.
