Harperville
Sue Beeson Cahoon, 84, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at her son’s residence in Harperville. Visitation will be 10 am Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Harperville Baptist Church. Services will follow at 11 am at the church with burial in Harperville Memorial Park. Rev. Jason Tillman, Rev. Gary Wyatt and Don McDaniel will officiate.
Sue was treasured by her children, adored by her grandchildren, and loved dearly by her great grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy in life and she loved doing things for the ones she loved.
Sue had many gifts and talents and could highlight hair, sew, make drapes, use a bandsaw and peel a 50 lb bags of potatoes in record time. She was the biscuit queen of the family and no matter how many she she made it was never quite enough. She was not afraid of challenges and when life met her or her family with them, she sprang in to action to find a solution to the problem.
Sue loved her church and greatly enjoyed learning about Jesus in her Fidelis Sunday School Class. Ruth Gaddis and all the members were so good to call and visit her during her illness.
Sue had a special love for her brothers and sisters and her sister, Betty shared a special bond that only sisters understand.
Sue and her family greatly enjoyed their time with their dear friend, Jerry. He was always there when he was needed, in good times and bad. Whatever the need, Jerry was ready and willing to help. He will always be special to our family and hold a dear place in our hearts.
Despite her love of her family and friends, she had loved ones in Heaven that she dearly missed. and because of her love and trust in Jesus Christ, her savior and redeemer, she is reunited with them now and forever.
Special thanks to Sta Home Hospice and especially to Ilydia Hall for the comfort and care shown to her during this difficult time.
Survivors include her daughter, Gay Warren (Ricky) of Forest; son, Randy Cahoon (Anne) of Harperville; sister, Betty Morgan of Laurel; grandchildren, Trent Warren, Krystie Nutt, Tyler Cahoon, Stephanie McDill, Trey Cahoon and Amber Hodges.
