Mrs. Susie Faye McCurdy, age 78, and a resident of the Forkville community for over 60 years passed away at her daughter’s home in Pearl on Friday, August 14, 2020.
Graveside services will begin at 1:30 pm on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Contrell Church Cemetery.
There will be a visitation on Sunday from 10 am until 12 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton, which is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McCurdy was a Christian and a member of Macedonia Methodist Church in the Clifton community. She will be remembered for the love that she had for her family. Gardening was a favorite past time.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Nathan “Bud” McCurdy; two stepsons: Sonny McCurdy and Robert McCurdy; her parents: Cephus and Quay Ponder Phillips and two sisters: Willie J. Phillips and Nettie R. Cooper.
Survivors include: three children: Rhonda (James) Dunn of Pearl; and Ronald N. (Amy) McCurdy, and Reggie McCurdy, both of Morton; three grandchildren: Kori Bregar, Colton Dunn and Zach McCurdy; three great-grandchildren: Parker Bregar, Reagan Bregar, and Harper Dunn; two steps daughters: Rita King and Beverly (Ronald) Canady also survive.
Bro. Jerry Holmes will officiate the service and Ronnie McCurdy, Reggie McCurdy, Zach McCurdy, Jim Dunn, Colton Dunn, and Mike Tisdale will serve as pallbearers.
*All guidelines and ordinances set forth by the CDC and the Governor of the State of Mississippi will be enforced during visitation. Masks are required to enter Ott & Lee Funeral Home.
