Suzanna Bayles Iupe

December 2, 1950 — April 5, 2025

Brandon

Suzanna Bayles Iupe, 74, of Brandon, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2025, at Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Suzanna was born on December 2, 1950, in Jackson, Mississippi, to James Clyde Bayles and Jewel Hartley Bayles. She attended Provine High School in Jackson and Mississippi College in Clinton. She married Sam Joseph Iupe, and they had 3 children together: Nikki, Justin, and Scott. She worked most of her career in administrative insurance and secretarial services. Her biggest joy in life was her family. She loved holding her grand-babies and watching them grow up. She enjoyed attending every event for her grandkids, going to all their sporting events, and supporting their special moments. She was the happiest with her family around her laughing. Her laugh was infectious. When she really got to laughing, she couldn't stop and by the end, the whole room was tickled.

She was married to her beloved late husband, Sam, for 34 years. The love of her life. In the early years, they enjoyed training in Shotokan Karate, traveling to tournaments, where she achieved many accomplishments, including Grand State Champion. Together they enjoyed raising their family. They always had a hot pot of coffee ready for anyone stopping by to visit. Some of the best conversations were made sitting around their kitchen table drinking coffee. She and Sam enjoyed their family traditions, family beach trips, vacations with their children and grandchildren, Sunday family dinners, celebrating birthdays, Christmas, and so many more special moments. She and Sam loved Christmas, collecting snow village pieces, and displaying the pieces for all of the family to see Christmas night. She was one of Elvis's biggest fans and made sure to put her Elvis doll on display every Christmas. They had the biggest holiday celebrations.

Mrs. Suzanna was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson and was a great woman of faith.

Mrs. Suzanna was preceded in death by her parents, James Clyde and Jewel Hartley Bayles; her nephew, Lance Pitts; and the love of her life, her husband, Sam Joseph Iupe.

She is survived by her children, Nikki Evans, Justin (Michelle) Evans, and Scott (Mary Elizabeth) Evans; her grandchildren, Jordan, Jorja, and Jaxon Evans, Brooklyn and London Ramshur, and Mary Clyde, Scott Grey, and James Ward Evans; her sister, Ginger Pitts of Jackson; her sister, Trish (Keith) Barton of Madison; and her brother, Jim (Ruth) Bayles of Meridian. She is also survived by her nephews, Jason (Sophia) and David Bayles and Travis (Kendra) and Clay (TJ) Pitts.

Special thanks to the ICU nursing staff and the palliative care nurses of Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
