Syble Irene Clack, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Brandon Nursing & Rehab. Visitation will be Friday, August 25, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Chapel Service at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Bro. Steve Street will officiate the Service.
Syble was born on March 30, 1929 in Indianola, MS to the late John Howell and Emma Jane Pierce Grice.
She was a longtime resident of the Jackson area. Syble was a devoted and committed mother, friend, and church member. She always looked for and found the “silver lining” in all situations. She loved gardening and flowers. She loved her two church homes, Trace Ridge Baptist Church in Ridgeland, MS and Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon. Even at 88 years old, she was living out her faith by reaching others for Christ. She always wanted her family and friends to reach out to others for Christ.
Syble was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Junior Rankin Clack; and her baby sister, Juneria Grice.
Survivors include two daughters, Juneria P. Berges of Coppell, Texas and Cynthia P. Simons (Gary) of Brandon, MS; three grandchildren, Ashley Berges (Greg Fasullo), Hayden Simons (Laura) and Laura Murphy (Ryan); and six great grandchildren, Seth, Caleb, and Katey Anne Murphy and Haley, Trey and Avery Grace Simons.
A special “Thank You” to everyone at Brandon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Baptist Medical Center for the loving care they gave Syble.
Memorials may be made to Crossgates Baptist Church Ministerial Care, Brandon, MS; Trace Ridge Baptist Church, Ridgeland, MS or the Charity of your choice.
