Tamara Shea Madden Risher, 63, of Sebastopol passed away at her home on November 9, 2017, following a short but valiant fight with cancer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Faulkner Cemetery. Rev. Randall Creel and Dr. David Rives will officiate. Ott and Lee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Risher was born on January 11, 1954. She graduated from Forest High School in 1972 and East Central Junior College in 1974. She was a retired assistant teacher and had taught at Sebastopol Attendance Center and South Leake Elementary School. She also taught piano lessons and served as Church Organist and Pianist for many years. She had a passion for music and enjoyed sharing her love of music with others. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Risher was preceded in death by her father, James Leo Madden, and brother, Dr. David Dodson Madden.
Mrs. Risher is survived by her husband of 43 years, Clyde W. “Shot” Risher of Sebastopol; two daughters, Krisan Risher Williams (Todd), and Kimberly Shea Risher Norman, both of Sebastopol; three grandsons, Chandler Andrew Norman, Parker Reese Norman, and Jacob Todd Risher Williams, all of Sebastopol; and one granddaughter, Savannah Beth Williams of Sebastopol. She is also survived by her mother, Nett Dodson Madden, of Forest, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Barney Green, Steve Clark, Drew Matthews, Jack Madden, James Madden and Mickey Fuggitt.
