Ted Walker
June 15, 1932 — September 18, 2015
Mr. Ted G. Walker, age 83 and a resident of Jackson, MS passed away on September 18, 2015 at the Merritt Health Systems in Jackson. There will be a Memorial Service at Clifton Baptist Church Cemetery of Forest, MS on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:30am with Bro. Joel Martin officiating. The visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2015, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mr. Walker was Baptist by faith and a member of the Boiler Makers, the Masons and he loved to fish, hunt, and he loved Ole Miss Rebels. Mr. Walker worked for many years with the Boiler Makers making the steel tanks as his occupation. He was also a member of the Army National Guard and his rank was that of Sargent. He was stationed in Germany but considered as a Korean War veteran.
Ted Walker was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Walker; parents, Charlie and Dossie "Boone" Walker; his sisters, Angie Walker Steadman and Jean Everett.
Mr. Walker is survived by his son, Ricky Walker of Huntsville, AL; daughter, Jennifer Walker; brother, Charles Walker (Jean) of Morton, MS; sister, Ruth French of Tulsa, OK; son-in-law, Tommy Steadman and seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.
