Tennie Faulkner

Tennie Rae Faulkner, age 96, a resident of Forest, MS, died Sunday, December 27, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10am, Thursday, December 31, 2015, from the chapel of the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, MS, with interment to follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery in Carthage, MS. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the funeral home. Rev. Jerry Poole will officiate.
Mrs. Faulkner was born in Scott County, MS, on September 26, 1919, to her parents Robert Lee Warren and Mollie Benton Warren. She was a lifelong resident of Scott County, and she attended Clifton Baptist Church. She had worked for the B.C. Rogers Poultry Company until her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, working outdoors, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Faulkner will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence E. Faulkner; and her great-grandson, Brett White.
Survivors include her two children: Clarence “Dennis” Faulkner (Nancy) of Lena, MS; Bernadeane “Deane” Griffith (Alan) of Knoxville, TN; and one sister, Myrtle Thomas of Brandon, MS. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Michelle Denson (Jim), Jessica Moss (Keith), Amanda Guy (Chris), Chad Griffith (Leslie), Jason Griffith (Emily) and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Austin Moss, Chad Griffith, Jason Griffith, Keith Moss, Jim Denson, Chris Guy, and Sergio Cruz. Honorary pallbearers are Medric Faulkner, Denzel Faulkner, Dwight Faulkner, Clayton Lott, and Alan Griffith.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Home Health and other caregivers for their compassionate care of Mrs. Faulkner.
