Thadis Jackson Pearson, 88, and a resident of Florence, MS passed away Sat. Sept. 20, 2014 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held from 10am-11:45am Sat. Sept. 27, 2014 at the Marvin United Methodist Church in Florence, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Sat. Sept. 27, 2014 at Marvin United Methodist Church with burial following in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling the arrangements. Mr. Pearson was born in Winston County, MS and has been a resident of Florence, MS for the past 38 years after moving from Jackson, MS. He was a member of the Marvin United Methodist Church in Florence, MS and was also a member of the Masons, Shriner’s and the VFW. Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife, Doris Pearson; son, Jeffrey Pearson (Maggie); sister, Bonnie Sloan; 2 grandchildren and 26 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Myrtis Pearson and 9 brothers and sisters.
