Thaniel Wayne Irby, 76, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at his residence in Brandon. Services are 10 am Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Crossgates United Methodist Church with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Mr. Irby was a native of Illinois and has been a longtime resident of Rankin County after being transferred here by Weyerhaeuser. He later owned and operated Brandon West Gulf service station for over 25 years. Mr. Irby was a member of Crossgates United Methodist Church where he was a member of the choir and Men’s Club. He was also a Korean War Air Force Veteran and former Crossgates volunteer fireman.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Irby of Brandon; daughters, Patricia Irby of Brandon and Jennifer Duffie (Mike) of Pearl; sons, Michael Irby of San Antonio, TX and Peter Irby (Gail) of Brandon; brother, Darryl Irby of East Hampton, IL ; sister, Deborah Irby of Texas; grandchildren, Benjamin, Matthew, Sarah, Joshua and Ashley Irby.
