Thelma Mae Allen Goodman, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at The Park Nursing Facility in Plano, TX. Visitation will begin Friday, March 27, 2015, at 10 am until the 2 pm Service in the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow in the Lodebar Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS.

Thelma was born in Monroe, Louisiana on October 14, 1922 to the late Ernest and Eva Allen. Thelma was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. Thelma grew up in Delhi, Louisiana and spent the majority of her life married to Charles William Goodman in Pelahatchie, MS. He preceded her in death in 1970. For the last three years, she lived in Plano, Texas. She was an avid booklover and gardener and spent the majority of her life as a stay at home mother. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thelma was a lifelong believer in the Primitive Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; her husband; and a daughter, Elaine Shoemaker.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Goodman (Charlotte) of Brandon, MS, Janice Gailey (Carl) of Morton, MS, Mike Goodman (Connie) of Pelahatchie, MS, Paul Goodman of Pelahatchie, MS, and Robin Herrington (Gary) of Rowlett, TX.; and 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Lodebar Cemetery Association.
