Mrs. Thelma Massey Keeton, age 85 and a longtime resident of Rankin County passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Merit Health Rankin in Flowood.
Mrs. Keeton was born at Pisgah, to her parents Joe and Evon Trest Massey, one of six children, Coy, Wardene, Shirley, Joan and Jean. One who loved flowers, Mrs. Thelma’s life was much like that of a bouquet of flowers, unique and beautiful. An accomplished seamstress she took great pride in her work. Gardening and tending the flowers on her homeplace were two favorite pass times. She was a member of Thornhill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by three grandchildren, her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years: Mr. Wesley Keeton, Jr.; twelve children: Bo, Jr. (Charlotte) Keeton, and Catherine Ida Stewart both of Montrose; Wanda (Phillip) Wells and Johnny (Teresa) Keeton, both of Ackerman; Donnie Harold (Lynn) Harrell, Randy (Becky) Harrell, and Tommy Harrell, all of Pelahatchie; David Harrell of New Orleans, LA; Billy (Kathy) Keeton of Louin; Becky (Jerry) Wallace of Pelahatchie; Judy Dennis of Phenix City, AL, and Eli Desper of Louin; twenty grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Jean Barnett and Joan Harvey; several nieces and nephews also survive.
