Thelma I. Robinson, age 74, a resident of Ocean Springs, Ms formerly of Raleigh, Ms., passed away Saturday morning February 26, 2011 at the Ocean Springs Nursing Center in Ocean Springs, Ms.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Sunday February 27, 2011 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, Ms. Burial will follow in the Burns Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jacob Niblett will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held from 1 pm till service time Sunday February 27, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robinson was born on May 3, 1936 to William Herman McDaniel and Lucretia Burns McDaniel in Raleigh, Ms. Upon graduating high school, she worked for Walgreen’s, Sunbeam, Chef-Pierre, Rolling Acres and later retired from General Electric in Jackson.
She was member of Burns Baptist Church. Mrs. Robinson had a special place in her heart for children. She loved growing beautiful flowers, gardening, and had a great love for the outdoors, and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Truly she will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Billy Ray McDaniel.
She is survived by one brother, Willie Earl McDaniel and wife Sandy of Carieere, Ms., three sisters, Nina Arender and husband Ernest of Vancleave, Ms., Betty Ellis of Pearl, Ms., and Mary Helen Anderson and husband Ike of Yazoo City, Ms., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest is in charge of arrangements.
