Mrs. Thelma Stewart age 65, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, 11:00 am, at Family's home in Morton. Visitation was held Friday, November 25, 2016, 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Family's home in Morton. The Interment was conducted at the Midway Methodist Cemetery. She was born in Rankin County, MS on July 5, 1951, to Jody and Mozelle Watkins Stewart. The family said she loved cooking, gospel music, loved her family, loved her church, loved her friends, and loved going to garage sales. She also enjoyed playing card games like spades, and others along with playing dominoes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jody Stewart, her mother, Mozelle Stewart, her brother, Bill Stewart, her brother, Jim Stewart, her sister, Nanny Mae Bowman.
Thelma is survived by her husband, Jimmy Stewart of Morton, MS, her daughter, Pretina Lee Stewart of Morton, her son, Jimmy Dewayne Stewart and his wife and Thelma's special daughter-in-law, Casandra Stewart of Morton; her sisters, Mary Roland of Morton and Lucille Shoemaker of Pelahatchie; her brothers, J.C. Stewart of Morton, Jack Stewart of Morton, and Tommy Stewart of Forest; with many nieces and nephews and a host of friends and family.
Pallbearers were Bill Prestage, Billy Hood, David Varnes, Jerry Renfrow, Roger Prestage, Andrew Griffin, and Ryan Hood.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home.
