Theresa Carol Ferguson

Theresa Carol Ferguson, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 22, 2025, at the age of 79 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Born on November 22, 1945, in Jackson, Mississippi, she dedicated much of her life to helping others as she worked in Admissions with Nursing Allied and Hinds Community College.

Theresa had a wonderful personality. She loved horses and was an enthusiastic member of the American Endurance Ride Conference. Trail riding brought her immense joy, and it was a passion that defined much of her leisure time.

Theresa is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Mitchell, and her cherished grandchildren, Parker Scott Mitchell and Avery Waite Mitchell. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Bobbye Ruth Furr, and her brothers, Hal (Janie) Robinson and Steve (Xin) Robinson. Many nieces and nephews also survive her and will remember her fondly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Emery Robinson and Ruth Griffing Robinson, and her daughter, Julia Paige Magee. Also among those who have passed are her brothers Ronnie, Jimmy, and Kenny Robinson.

A visitation will be held on March 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi.

Theresa’s spirit, love for life, and deep affection for her family and friends will always be remembered by those who were fortunate to know her.
